Who we are and what this policy covers

Cat Dancing GIF operates catdancinggif.com: a free library of original dancing cat GIFs plus an AI tool that turns a photo of your cat into a short dancing video and GIF.

This policy covers the website, the AI generator, accounts, credit purchases, and any support conversation you have with us. You can browse and download the free library without creating an account.

Information we collect

• Account data: your email address, the one-time sign-in codes we send you, and the date your account was created.
• Credit and order data: your credit balance, the pack you purchased, the amount and currency, the order status, and the payment reference returned by Waffo. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Generation data: the cat photo you upload, the dance style you select, the generated video and GIF, job status and timestamps.
• Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, language, pages viewed, and aggregated interaction events.
• Support data: the content of the emails and reports you send us, including attachments.

How we use your information

• to create your account, sign you in and keep your session secure;
• to add purchased credits to your balance and reconcile payments;
• to run the AI generation you request and keep the result in your account;
• to detect abuse, fraud, prohibited content, and attempts to bypass the credit system;
• to answer support requests, content reports and rights complaints;
• to measure aggregate traffic so we know which pages and GIFs are useful.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not use your uploads or your results to train AI models.

AI models, your photo and generated results

The AI generator runs on the MiniMax Hailuo 02 image-to-video model. That model is developed and operated by MiniMax and is accessed through our AI inference infrastructure provider, fal.ai.

When you start a generation, your uploaded photo, the motion prompt and the generation settings are transmitted to fal.ai and processed by MiniMax Hailuo 02, which returns a short video clip that we convert into a GIF.

Your photo and the result are stored in our private cloud storage, are visible only from your account, are never published in the public library, and are not used to train any model. fal.ai and MiniMax process the file only to return the output you requested, under their own data-processing and retention terms. When you delete a generation, the source photo and the output are deleted from our storage.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Waffo, our payment provider and merchant of record. Your card details are entered on Waffo’s secure checkout and are never sent to us or stored by us.

We receive an order reference, the amount, the currency, the payment status and the email used at checkout, and we keep that record for accounting, refunds and fraud prevention.

Service providers we share data with

• Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, security and request logs for the website.
• Our managed cloud platform: authentication, database and private file storage.
• fal.ai: AI inference infrastructure that routes generation requests to the model.
• MiniMax: the provider of the Hailuo 02 image-to-video model that renders your dancing cat.
• Waffo: checkout, payment processing and order records.
• Privacy-friendly analytics: aggregated page and event statistics.

Each provider receives only what it needs for its task and is bound by a data-processing agreement or equivalent terms. None of them is authorised to use your data for its own marketing.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage entries: a session token that keeps you signed in, your language preference, and a flag that prevents duplicate analytics events. These are required for the service to work.

Our analytics are aggregated and do not build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party advertising pixels. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time, but you will be signed out.

How long we keep data

Account, credit and order records are kept while your account is active and for up to seven years afterwards where tax and accounting law requires it. Uploaded photos and generated files are kept until you delete them or ask us to, and failed jobs are cleaned up automatically. Support emails are kept for 24 months. Moderation records for serious violations may be kept longer to prevent re-registration.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email support@catdancinggif.com from the address linked to your account and we will respond within 30 days.

Deleting your account removes your profile, your uploads and your generations; we may keep minimal order records where the law requires it. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children’s privacy

The free GIF library is suitable for all ages, but accounts and AI generation are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that threshold. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete the account and its data.

International transfers and security

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is limited to the small team that operates the service, and uploaded files are served through signed, time-limited links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the data we hold minimal and short-lived.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes that affect your rights will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect.
